Freddie Mac reported that its National Home Price Index increased 0.19% month-over-month on a seasonally adjusted basis in November.
Unemployment Claims Decrease

In the week ending December 27, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 199,000, a decrease of 16,000 from the previous week's revised level.

Case-Shiller Index

The Case-Shiller national home price index increased 0.37% in October (the 3-month average for August, September and October). This is the 3rd consecutive month with increases.
Housing Inventory Dwindles

As of December 26th, the inventory of homes available for sale was 736 thousand, down from 758 thousand last week. However, the inventory was up 13.1% compared to the same week in 2024.
Pending Home Sales Jump in November

Pending home sales jumped by 3.3% in November but fell 0.4% for the year, according to a report from NAR.
