New Home Sales Continue To Increase

A slight decline in mortgage rates and limited existing inventory helped new home sales to edge higher in February. Sales of newly built, single-family homes in February increased 1.8% to a 676,000 seasonally adjusted annual rate from a revised January number.

The Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price NSA Index, covering all nine U.S. census divisions, reported a 4.1% annual increase for January, up from a 3.9% annual gain in December.
